Union City, Tenn.–Nurses.org has included Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City among the list of the safest hospitals to work as a nurse in 2023.

Nurses.org used information submitted to The Leapfrog Group to rank each hospital. The safety Leapfrog ratings are updated twice a year and comprise up to 22 evidence-based practice measures of patient safety.

“I am proud of our team at Baptist Union City, and I am thankful our colleagues are committed to safety for patients, nurses and all employees,” said Skipper Bondurant, administrator and chief executive officer. “When nurses are considering where they want to work, safety should always be a consideration.”

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, formerly Obion County General Hospital, became affiliated with Baptist Memorial Health Care in 1982. The 137-bed licensed facility is located in the northwest corner of Tennessee, just south of the Kentucky border.
