One of the UFC’s brightest young stars, Raul Rosas Jr. has lofty goals for his UFC career.

Last year the UFC made a bold move to bring a 17-year-old fighter on to compete in the Dana White Contender Series. That fighter was Raul Rosas Jr. He quickly turned heads as he defeated Mando Gutierrez by unanimous decision. He became the youngest fighter ever to be signed to the UFC but now has some big goals ahead of him to make another kind of history.

Rosas Jr. wants to become the first fighter to win championships in three different weight classes. He shouted out his intentions while in the cage at the Fury FC event this weekend.

Rosas Jr. followed up his win on the Contender Series with a huge win in his promotional debut. He defeated Jay Perrin by first-round submission at UFC 282 in December. Now he is already scheduled for his next bout. He will be taking on Christian Rodriguez at UFC 287 in April. Rosas Jr. believes he is just getting started on what he thinks will be a historic career.

“I’m ready to go out there and show my skillset like I’ve always done. I don’t care who I face, I’m here to show that there are levels. Tune in April 8th, I’m going to show my skillset and show that I deserve to fight for a title,” he said h/t MMA Mania. “Just believe in yourself, no matter who doubts you. Right now, me saying I’m going to be champion, a lot of people think I’m crazy that I’m going to become the youngest UFC champion, but I believe in myself and mark my words: I will be champion in one year or less.”

Rosas Jr. made this bold claim while on the microphone at a Fury FC event this past weekend. The event showcased his brother Kevin in his professional debut. Rosas Jr. had the attention of the crowd as he proclaimed that he had an interest in fighting in bantamweight, featherweight, and lightweight.

“I’m just getting started like this is nothing to me,” he exclaimed. “I ain’t celebrating nothing until I have them three belts around my waist: 135, 145, 155, let’s go!”

It seems that many people are high on Rosas Jr. and believe that he will do great things in his career. So far he is doing what is necessary to move up in the rankings, he is winning and he is making a name for himself. If he keeps it up, he could be on the right path to reaching his dream of three UFC titles around his waist.
