17-year-old shot and killed in East Harlem

On Sunday, January 29, 2023 at approximately 1713 hours police responded to 425 East 105 Street for a pickup of shots fired. Upon arrival police discovered numerous shell casings at that location.

NEW YORK, NY – A 17-year-old was shot and killed Sunday evening in East Harlem. According to police, officers heard shots fired in the area of 425 East 105th Street at around 5:15 pm.

Upon their arrival on scene, officers from the city’s 23rd Precinct learned the 17-year-old victim had already been transported to the hospital.

During their investigation, police found multiple shell casings in the area.


At the hospital, Dominick Allen, 17, was treated for a gunshot wound to the chest, but did not survive. He was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital a short time later.

No arrests have been made. Police did not release any information regarding suspects at this time.
