Interstate 15 has reopened near the Las Vegas Strip following the weekend-long closure to accommodate the construction work tied to the ongoing "Dropicana" project.
The freeway was closed starting Friday night between Flamingo and Russell roads and was back open ahead of schedule Monday morning.
During the closure, crews worked on demolishing the north half of the Tropicana bridge over I-15.
The overhaul of the I-15/Tropicana Avenue interchange is referred to as "Dropicana."
The Nevada Department of Transportation says the Tropicana bridge over the freeway will be rebuilt taller, wider and longer, with additional enhancements for capacity and safety.
Tropicana Avenue over I-15 is also back open, with two lanes in each direction and a temporary diamond configuration.
The southbound I-15 offramps at Tropicana will remain closed for several months.
