SAN ANTONIO - A Winter Storm Warning was issued for the Hill Country from 9 a.m. Monday through noon on Wednesday.
Winter Weather Advisory was issued for Bexar, Comal, Val Verde, Uvalde, Medina, Wilson, and Gonzales Counties.
Overcast with pockets of drizzle or mist to start off the day. A shower chance will continue into the afternoon, and increase in coverage late day. Plus, colder and windy today, we'll have breezy northeast winds gusting 25-30 mph.
Temperatures fall from the middle 40s in the morning into the upper 30s to low 40s for the afternoon. Winds will make it feel close to freezing throughout the day.
We have to watch for the threat of freezing rain/ice in the northern Hill Country as temps will flirt with freezing. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Hill Country from Monday 9am to Wednesday at Noon. Up to two tenths of an inch of freezing rain accretion is possible in spots, making travel difficult in the region. Still looking like a cold rain around San Antonio, but will be worth watching in future model runs.
Tuesday continues overcast with drizzle or a light shower activity expected. Freezing rain potential for northern Bexar County into the Hill Country. Temps will be in the 30s for much of the area.
We stay overcast with shower chances through Thursday, but any ice concerns dissipate as temps will climb into the 50s. Drier and milder by Friday into next weekend, with highs back in the 60s.
