A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:57 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, has claimed the life of a Irvington man. 65-year-old Rodney Dean Kennedy was fatally injured when the 2004 GMC Sierra he was driving left the roadway, overturned, and struck a ditch.

Kennedy was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was partially ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Boykin Road approximately three miles west of Mobile, in Mobile County.
