Lou Gramm has been inducted into another music hall of fame.
The Rochester native and former singer of Foreigner was inducted last week into the "Metal Hall of Fame" at a ceremony in Agoura Hills, California.
The Metal Hall Of Fame describes itself as a "Non-Profit Organization Dedicated To Enshrining Forever, The Iconic Bands, Industry Executives, And Musicians Who Are Responsible For Making Rock And Metal Music What It Is Today. "
Foreigner is not often considered "heavy metal," but Gramm's powerful voice has very much been an inspiration to many hard rock bands.
Gramm was inducted along with more traditional heavy metal acts including Raven and Twisted Sister.
Gramm is already a member of the Songwriters' Hall of Fame and The Rochester Music Hall of Fame.
Fans have been waiting for Lou Gramm and Foreigner to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; they have been eligible for many years.
