SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. – Two people are behind bars following a police chase over the weekend in South Miami.
The incident happened Saturday afternoon and ended in the area of Southwest 62nd Avenue and 79th Street.
The chase began after a police helicopter spotted a stolen BMW they say is linked to several shootings and car burglaries.
“I was in my room and it started off with hearing cops fly by. I looked out my window. It was just, like, two and then it continued,” Carolina Alvarez, who lives nearby, said. “He just turned super fast into that building and then went straight into the garage.”
No other details were immediately released.
Local 10 News has requested the names and arrest reports of those involved in the incident.
