8-year-old Maryville boy found in North Carolina after Endangered Child Alert

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Endangered Child Alert for 8-year-old Jcyon Rogerson on behalf of the Maryville Police Department. Rogerson was found on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

MPD officials said Monday that they received a report Sunday evening that the child had been taken from his residence by his non-custodial biological mother, Alisha Jones.

According to the TBI, Rogerson was found safe in North Carolina and Jones is now in custody.

The 8-year-old was last seen Sunday in Maryville wearing grey shorts, a green jacket and black tennis shoes.

Investigators believe the child is with his non-custodial mother, 31-year-old Jones, was wanted by Maryville Police for Custodial Interference. Jones was described as standing 5’8”, weighing 165 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
