Three Chattanooga Teens Accused of Carjacking

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- We have learned more about the circumstances surrounding a dramatic crash on Brainerd Road Saturday.

Chattanooga Police say the incident stemmed from a reported carjacking.

Police say that they were notified that a car was stolen at 1 p.m Saturday on the two-thousand block of Roanoke Avenue.

A victim told CPD that they were attempting to sell his vehicle when he was assaulted by three teenagers and then stole their vehicle.

Police then observed the vehicle and attempted to stop them, leading to a police chase.

The suspects police say caused multiple crashes during their chase.

One of those crashes was a vehicle that was struck on the 3800 block of Brainerd Road, causing to strike a pole and flip.

They were stopped on the 3400 block of Brainerd Road.

All three suspects, aged 13, 14 and 15 years old, were arrested and charged with carjacking.

No was seriously hurt by the crashes caused in the chase.
