Crashes snarl traffic across Missouri Sunday night, Monday morning
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - Winter weather caused slowdowns and closures across St. Louis roads Sunday night and Monday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol told News 4 they received 149 calls for service within that timeframe. They said there were 62 stranded motorists and 64 crashes. Seven people were reportedly injured.
Road closures were reported on Interstate 44, Interstate 64, Interstate 270, and Interstate 70.
Central County Fire and Rescue in St. Charles County said they responded to dozens of calls for crashes. They encouraged people to stay off the roads, especially at night, because there is a risk of refreezing.

News 4 spoke with local plow companies, who said they got crews out just before the freezing rain started Sunday. They said no one is in the clear yet.

MetroLink: Blue Line MetroLink passengers may experience delays of 20 minutes at this time. Red Line MetroLink service is currently not experiencing any delays.
Metro Call-A-Ride: Metro Call-A-Ride is contacting passengers directly if their trips may be delayed. Riders can call customer service at 314.289.5230 to check on the status of their Call-A-Ride trip.
All Metro Transit customers are encouraged to allow extra time for their commutes and to watch for slick spots as they head to their bus stop, transit center or MetroLink station.
