EDM@VGK: Quick robs Draisaitl with insane stick save

We're used to seeing
Jonathan Quick
make spectacular saves. We're just not used to seeing him do it in gold.

Quick spent his entire NHL career in the silver and black of the Los Angeles Kings before a March trade landed him in Vegas (
famously via the Columbus Blue Jackets
) where he now wears gold but still makes amazing saves.
In a game against the Edmonton Oilers, Quick found himself way, way, way out of position before recovering to make an eye-popping stick save that makes you look again just to wonder how it happened.
Quick is definitely no stranger to paddle saves (see below) but this one is a doozy. And it wasn't on some rookie either, it was on Oilers forward and NHL's second-leading scorer
Leon Draisaitl
.
Talk about a tough assignment. And Quick passed with flying (gold) colors.
