Tulsa swapped Tahan for his 13-year-old brother Tanvir with Zoo Knoxville.
The Tulsa Zoo said the survival plan works to ensure a sustainable population of the Malayan tiger species.
There are only around 250 Malayan tigers in the wild and around 50 in AZA zoos.
Four of those 50 are at the Tulsa Zoo.
