On Wednesday, Jan. 25, the staff at the hospital signed the last beam before it was placed in position, marking a significant point in the construction process.
The new addition, funded by HCA Healthcare, will be a two-story tower constructed on the front side of the hospital, which will initially expand the hospital's capacity by 35% -- or 11 beds.
The construction of the tower will also support the addition of another floor based on future health care and service needs in the community.
This new project mirrors the design of the hospital, which opened in March 2018, initially with three floors covering 105,000 square feet.

The new space is currently projected to open in fall 2023.
