Caroline Jackson Brannon

Caroline Jackson Brannon, 63, of Puryear, Tennessee, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at her residence after a long battle with leukemia and multiple sclerosis.

Caroline was born Friday, October 2, 1959, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Harold B. Jackson and the late Verla Gray Jackson.

She was the co-owner of B&G Equipment, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, for 17 years up until the time declining health prompted the sale of the business.  She previously worked for Tecumseh Products for 20 years in Paris.

A Baptist by belief, Caroline was a faithful servant of Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Paris for 18 years before moving to Cadiz, Kentucky, where she was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church for 20 years.

She was married Saturday, July 26, 1980, to Larry H. Brannon, who survives, of Puryear, Tennessee.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by one son: James Elliott (Kara) Brannon, of Cadiz, Kentucky; four sisters: Diana Gray Roach, of Pekin, Illinois, Cynthia Lee (Bobby) Perry, of Paris, Deborah J. (Ralph) Malatesta, of Seattle, Washington, and Melanie Stockdale, of Tinsley Park, Illinois; three brothers: James Frazer (Faye) Jackson, of McEwen, Tennessee, Clifton Gray Jackson, of Erin, Tennessee, and Harold (Margaret) Jackson, of Paris; and very special friend and caretaker: Callie Patterson, of Henry, Tennessee.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.  Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Paris with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Stockdale, Richard Stockdale, David Stockdale, Randall Perry, Cliff Perry, and Brian Beecham.

Burial will follow the graveside service in Maplewood Cemetery.
