The weather Monday afternoon through at least noon on Wednesday could be a royal mess for drivers and residents in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Across Dallas-Fort Worth, bridges and overpasses may become icy by Monday evening. Depending on the temperature, all roadways northwest of McKinney to Mid Cities to Burleson to Granbury line could be icy by Tuesday morning, according to meteorologist Tom Hale.

Hale shared that 28 degrees Fahrenheit is the critical temperature to watch for, as the meteorologist stressed that colder temps would cause roadways to ice up.

Hale says to be aware of the weather this week before you drive and to keep an eye on your car thermometers. For more information on the weather and updated forecasts, download the Audacy App.
