Coroner responds to crash in Spartanburg Co.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has identified a victim of a crash that happened on Sunday morning in Spartanburg County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 10:42 a.m. on Main Street near SC-290 in Duncan.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said that a 2017 Ford Mustang was traveling West on SC- 290. A 2010 Toyota Camry was traveling East from a private drive and attempted to turn left on SC-90 and was hit by the 2017 Ford Mustang.

The coroner has identified the victim as Fred William Burnett Sr, 90, of Moore. The coroner said that Burnett was pronounced dead at 10:45 a.m.

A forensic exam will be conducted on Monday.
