The National Weather Service in Dodge City is predicting a bitterly cold start to the work week, with a high temperature of just 16 forecast for Monday.
There is a slight chance of snow flurries through the day Sunday and into early Monday morning — the only precipitation predicted in the long-range forecast. Wind chill values early Monday morning could be as low as 15 below zero.
The mercury will rise as the week progresses, with a high of 30 Tuesday, followed by highs in the upper-30s Wednesday and Thursday. By Friday, a high near 50 is expected.
