SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Large flames engulfed Opa Time on Hamilton Boulevard on Sunday morning. Officials say other businesses were damaged by the fire as well.
According to a release from Sioux City Fire Rescue, the fire was reported at 5:53 a.m. When responders arrived, they could see heavy smoke emanating from the roof.
The release stated that when officials entered the business they found a fire above the ceiling.
The fire also impacted neighboring businesses in the same building. the release specified that H & R Block also sustained minor damage and two other businesses had smoke and water damage.
No employees were inside the business at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured while putting it out.
The investigation is ongoing and firefighters were still on scene as of 9:30 a.m.
