The overnight snowstorm followed the projected track and dumped ample snow in the expected swath. Here’s a look at some of the snowfall totals from Saturday into Saturday night.
I’d call the heavy snow swath a 6 inch to 8 inch snow. There are a couple of 9-inch reports. The most common amount in the heavy snow band is 7 inches.
The heaviest snow stretched from the Grand Rapids area and Big Rapids east through Midland, Bay City and Saginaw.
Here are some exact snowfall amounts at the end of the snow. These come from the White Lake, MI National Weather Service trained weather spotters and cover southeast and eastern Lower Michigan.
Here are some exact reports from the Grand Rapids area and western Lower Michigan. These reports come from the National Weather Service at Grand Rapids.
The snowstorm is over, and a fairly quiet week of weather is coming up in Michigan. There doesn’t look to be any robust precipitation-maker for Lower Michigan this week.
It will be the coldest week of the winter so far, with several days only having warmest afternoon temperatures near 20 degrees.
