The Chattanooga Fire Department says that a car crash in the 3800 block of Brainerd Road on Saturday was related to the car jacking on Roanoke Avenue.

EARLIER:
Three teenagers sit in jail after a carjacking Saturday afternoon, according to Chattanooga Police,
It's the second such incident since Thursday night, where 3 teens were charged with stealing a woman's car in the CHI Memorial Hospital parking lot at gunpoint.
Right now, it's unclear whether these two incidents are related, but we are following up with police and, we will update this story when we hear back.
Saturday's incident happened at about 1 p.m. at the 2000 block of Roanoke Avenue.
That's where the victim was selling his car when police say the teenagers assaulted him, got in his car, and drove off.
A while later, a nearby officer spotted the stolen car and tried to stop it.
But police say the teen behind the wheel didn't, causing a chase that damaged several vehicles and ended at the 3400 block of Brainerd Road, a little east of the tunnels.
Officers took 2 of the suspects in custody near the crash scene. They later caught up with the third at someone's home.
One of the vehicles struck by the fleeing suspects struck a guide wire and overturned at 3400 Brainerd Road,' Chattanooga Police say. 'None of the victims struck by the suspect vehicle were seriously injured.
Right now, there's no evidence or indication from police that Saturday's incident and Thursday's incident are connected. But we continue to work to learn more details, & we'll update this story when we do.
