A stunning 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Coupe from Singer is up for auction and looks on track to trade hands for over $1 million.

This particular 911 from Singer was delivered in April 2020 after some three years of construction. It is dubbed the Pikes Peak Commission and is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic. The craftsmanship on display is simply staggering.

Many of the car’s body panels, such as the fenders, bumpers, hood, and rear decklid are made from carbon fiber, as is the roof. It also has ghosted light stripes, nickel-plated bumperettes, raised gold Porsche letting and a brass Singer badge, while a clear protection film adorns the entire body. Forged Fuchs-style wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 225/45 at the front and 265/50 at the rear are also fitted.

All of takes is a cursory look at the interior to understand why the waitlist for a new Singer commission is upwards of three years. It is trimmed in Antique Tan leather with suede and leather-weave inserts. The brass ventilation grommets on the carbon fiber sports seats are particularly classy, as is the X-brace chromoly roll bar wrapped in tan leather and complete with an integrated harness bar, piano black seatbacks, and a brass Singer dash badge.

Power comes courtesy of a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six from Ed Pink Racing that is air-cooled and rated at 390 hp and 315 lb-ft (427 Nm) of torque. This engine has a ceramic-coated plenum and independent throttle bodies and drives the rear wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transmission.

The Bring a Trailer listing reveals that the car has been driven just 2,200 miles (3,540 km) since Singer overhauled it. It is being offered on dealer consignment with a Singer build sheet, a Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title.
