SUNRISE, Fla. --Sam Reinhart scored 17 seconds into overtime after Aleksander Barkov tied the game with three seconds left in the third period to give the Florida Panthers a 4-3 win against the Boston Bruins at FLA Live Arena on Saturday.

Reinhart scored on a one-timer from the left circle off a pass from Barkov, who tied it 3-3 after a point shot from Aaron Ekblad ricocheted off Brandon Carlo to him in the left circle.
Barkov's goal came after David Pastrnak gave Boston a 3-2 lead with a wrist shot from above the circles with 49 seconds remaining in the third.
"I think [we] were due for a game like this and were due a result like this all season. They just haven't quit," Florida coach Paul Maurice said. "It was the hardest part of the season, and they kept getting kicked in the teeth and wouldn't quit. You want it for them so bad. We deserved that a bunch of nights this season and just didn't get it.''
Matthew Tkachuk had two assists, and Alex Lyon made 38 saves for the Panthers (24-22-6), who had lost three straight, including 4-3 to the Los Angeles Kings on Friday.
"That was a massive challenge, but we know what we have, and that is a phenomenal hockey team," said Lyon, who was making his fifth straight start. "The last game before [the All-Star] break is always tough, a back-to-back, but the guys kept going. This is why you play the game right there."

Pastrnak scored, and Jeremy Swayman made 33 saves for the Bruins (38-6-5), who are 1-1-1 on a five-game road trip.
Boston has lost consecutive games for the first time this season after also losing 3-2 to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday.
"We got a point, so that's important," Swayman said. "However, I want to be able to close out games in the last final seconds. So not satisfied and we'll definitely make sure we're taking the positives out of this one and move forward."
Craig Smith gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead at 16:50 of the first period when he intercepted an outlet pass by Brandon Montour intended for Eetu Luostarinen in Florida's zone and scored stick side.
Montour then tied it 1-1 at 8:55 of the second period, deflecting a wrist shot by Barkov from the right circle. It extended his point streak to nine games (three goals, six assists), the longest in Florida history by a defenseman.
Charlie Coyle restored Boston to a 2-1 lead at 17:55 when his centering pass was batted into the net by Panthers forward Sam Bennett.
Bennett then responded to tie it 2-2 at 8:29 of the third period with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle.

"I think that's a very important game for us, to show the confidence in this group," Bennett said. "That was a massive win against a very good team. The boys are definitely happy with that one. I would have had some nightmares if we didn't get the win tonight. It was nice we got the win.''
The Bruins went 0-for-4 on the power play after they were 0-for-2 against Tampa Bay.
"For me, it's the last two games we've gotten outworked," Boston coach Jim Montgomery said regarding the power play. "People are stacking the line against us and ... we weren't willing to put it in behind [them] and go to work and use our feet to go get it behind them."
