Zelina Vega Joins Street Fighter 6 as In-Game Commentator

WWE Superstar Zelina Vega, aka Thea Trinidad, is joining Street Fighter 6. As mentioned during tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble event, she will be appearing in the game as a new in-game commentator. Vega is lending her voice and likeness for the game. Capcom also released a new preview on the game’s real-time commentary feature.

Vega is a longtime Street Fighter fan and gamer. She even modeled her ring attire tonight after the Street Fighter roster member Juri. Speaking on today’s announcement, she commented, “I’ve been an avid gamer since I was a child and a huge fan of Street Fighter.” She continued, “I can still remember epic matches with my brother, and I would always beat him with my favorite character Vega. It’s surreal to now be a part of this amazing franchise and I am honored and thankful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Vega’s inclusion is part of Street Fighter 6’s Real-Time Commentary feature. It uses the voices of popular Fighting Game Community commentators and personalities to narrate the matches as they happen with easy-to-understand gameplay explanations. The feature will support subtitles in 13 languages for increased accessibility.

Street Fighter 6 is due out later this year on June 2. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC via Steam.
