The new unit was an $8 million investment and will have four ICU beds and 14 progressive care beds.
The hospital expects to be able to serve 1,500 patients annually and add over 50 jobs with the new unit.
“This has been a multi-year project and we are fully prepared to bring a new level of care to the Owasso community,” said Wyatt Hockmeyer, Ascension St. John Owasso president.
The new unit follows another bed expansion at St. John's Broken Arrow location.
