Jayden Holmes-Cotter scored a game-high 17 points as Freehold Township secured an overtime victory 52-49 over Southern in Manahawkin.
A back-and-forth affair saw Freehold Township (13-3) build a five-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Patriots used a balanced offensive attack to climb in front.
Nick Cardone and James McCarthy added nine points each.
Tom Menegus logged a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds to lead Southern back from its deficit. The Rams outscored Freehold Township 11-6 in the final quarter. Caden Schubiger finished with a team-high 16 points.
In overtime, Freehold Township was able to take control on both ends of the floor.
