CHARLOTTE — It took 30 firefighters to put out an east Charlotte house fire on Saturday.
According to a tweet, the Charlotte Fire Department received a call about a working structure fire around 1:19 p.m. on Saturday afternoon along Running Lane Road off of Gaynelle Drive.

The fire is under investigation and the cause is unclear. Channel 9 is working to learn more information.
Responding firefighters went to the scene where smoke was showing from the two-story home. In a follow-up tweet from the department, the fire was under control within 10 minutes.
The resident of the home is being evaluated by Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Services.
