Libby Marie Cinnamon of Garber has gone home to be with her Lord. She was only 94 years young. She was born at home, North of Garber, to Frank Joseph Sebranek and his wife Mary Emma Simunek Sebanek. She attended Home Valley country school and later Garber High school, where she met and was crowned FFA sweetheart by her future husband Ray Gene Cinnamon. Following high school, Libby worked at Sears until she and Ray Gene were married on April 30, 1947, at the Garber Christian Church. From this time on she was a hard-working farm wife and mother, raising their 5 children Eldon, Jean, Donna, Nita and Richard, milking cows and caring for the chickens. She was a life-long member of the Christian Church of Garber where she served as a church board member, a deaconess, and was a member of Ruth’s Circle, part of the Christian Women Fellowship. She taught Sunday School, was President of the CWF and could be found sewing outfits for the children’s program every Christmas at the church. She also volunteered for school functions, was often a sponsor or class mom, and was a founding member of the Nu-Way Club. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. You could search for a thousand years and never find a more devoted wife, mother and grandma.

She is survived by her son Eldon Cinnamon and his wife Paula of Perry, daughter Jean Surface and her husband Joe of Alva, daughter Nita Pope and her husband Ron of Olsburg, Kansas, daughter-in-law Jonni Cinnamon of Garber, 22 grandchildren and their spouses, 53 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, sister Marcella Mears and her husband Galen, sister Wilma Worth, sister-in-law Joyce Sebranek, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was reunited in Heaven with her parents Frank and Mary, her husband Ray Gene, her daughter Donna Thralls and her husband Mike, son Richard Cinnamon, sister Anna Brakhage and her husband Willard, brother Frankie Sabranek, brotherin- law Sonny Worth, sister-in-law Dorothy Edwards and her husband Leonard.
