POMONA (CNS) - Authorities Saturday identified a 38-year-old bicyclist who was struck and killed by an SUV in Pomona.
Adan Orozco was the victim, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.
Pomona Police Department officers were called at approximately 7:28 p.m. Thursday to an area near East First and San Lorenzo streets regarding a traffic collision where they found the bicyclist lying in the street, the department said.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were called to the scene but Orozco was pronounced dead.
Police closed East First between San Lorenzo and Kadota Avenue while they investigated the crash.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
The crash is being investigated by the department's Major Accident Investigation Team.
