With the game well in hand, Virginia goes with a lineup of Chase Coleman, Taine Murray, Tristan How, Francisco Caffaro, and Kadin Shedrick to close the game. Chas Kelley III scores a reverse layup plus a foul on Murray. Shedrick is called for a foul as he grabbed an offensive rebound and with Boston College in the double bonus, Andrew Kenny goes to the line and makes both free throws. The Eagles end the game on an 8-0 run but Virginia cruises to a thorough 76-57 win over Boston College, UVA's sixth win in a row.

Franklin swings a pass to an open Isaac McKneely, who hits a deep three-pointer from the right wing and Virginia leads by 19. Franklin's layup attempt rolls off the front of the rim, but Kadin Shedrick is left unchecked on the box out and slams home the easy putback dunk, Virginia's third putback dunk of the game. UVA is called for three fouls in the span of a minute and Boston College is now in the bonus. Ashton-Langford goes to the line and makes both ends of a one-and-one. Gardner gets free at the left elbow and Clark finds him for another jumper. Virginia gets another stop and then Franklin kicks out to McKneely for a corner three and McKneely drains it. Virginia leads 71-47. Post draws a foul on Gardner and makes both free throws. Isaac McKneely steps back and hits an impressive pull-up jumper from just inside the three-point line. Clark finds Franklin in the corner and Franklin buries the three-pointer. Quinten Post stops the bleeding with a layup on the other end and is now up to 22 points on the night. Virginia is shooting 64.0% from the floor in the second half and leads by 25 with less than three minutes to play.

The Eagles lose track of Armaan Franklin on an inbounds play and Beekman feeds him for an open dunk. Kadin Shedrick draws a double team down low and kicks out to an open Franklin, who hits his second three-pointer of the game, but just the third three for Virginia as a team today. Boston College drops into a zone defense and UVA has no problem breaking it down, as Ryan Dunn dribbles into a soft spot and hits a short baseline jumper. Virginia gets another stop and then an Armaan Franklin offensive rebound leads to a layup for Beekman, who sends a layup high off the glass to cap a 9-0 run, pushing the lead to 18 points, the largest lead of the game for Virginia. Boston College ends the UVA run as Makai Ashton-Langford drives inside and finishes with a lefty layup.

Virginia gets caught napping in transition and T.J. Bickerstaff gets behind the UVA defense for an easy dunk. Makai Ashton-Langford gets to the rack and scores plus a foul on Clark. He makes the ensuing free throw and the Eagles are back within single digits after the Cavaliers had them on the ropes. Ryan Dunn comes away with a steal and feeds a great pass in transition to Isaac McKneely, who nearly loses control of the ball on his way up but manages to finish the layup, ending a UVA scoring drought of nearly three minutes. Dunn is called for a foul on Devin McGlockton, who makes both free throws.

Beekman draws a foul on the first possession of the second half and rattles home both free throws. Prince Aligbe perfectly times a cut down the lane and Post feeds him the pass for an uncontested dunk. Jayden Gardner hits a baseline jumper on the other end and then Kihei Clark steals the ball from Jaeden Zackery in the back court, leading to another bucket for Virginia as Beekman drives to the rack and scores off the glass plus a foul on Aligbe. Beekman completes the three-point play at the line. Quinten Post gets the ball down low and scores on the inside. Gardner's touch on the mid-range jumper is definitely on today - he splashes another shot from the baseline and is up to 12 points. Virginia gets a stop and then Gardner draws a foul, making both free throws. Makai Ashton-Langford comes free around a screen and pulls up for an open three-pointer and drills it. Make that five straight points for the Eagles as Jaeden Zackery loses Beekman on a screen and drains a pull-up mid-range jumper. Kihei Clark ends the run with a short jumper of his own from the baseline. Clark grabs an offensive rebound off of his own miss and has hit layup attempt roll off the front of the rim, but Jayden Gardner soars to the rim and slams in the putback dunk. Virginia leads by 14 and Earl Grant calls timeout.

Kihei Clark spins around a defender and drives baseline before kicking out to Beekman, who makes the extra pass to Franklin, who pump fakes and hits a mid-range jumper to cap a beautiful offensive play for the Cavaliers. Boston College ends a five-minute scoring drought as CJ Penha Jr. slips a screen and gets free underneath for a layup. The Cavaliers and Eagles each come up empty on their final possessions of the half and Virginia takes an eight-point lead into halftime.

Virginia goes small again with Gardner and Vander Plas and Quinten Post immediately takes advantage, scoring off the glass over top of the double team of Gardner and Vander Plas. Ben Vander Plas backs down Aligbe, who tries to draw a charge with a flop, but gets no call and Vander Plas scores easily at the rim with his left hand. Franklin keeps alive an offensive rebound off of a missed three from Clark and the ball eventually comes back to Franklin, who is fouled shooting a three-pointer by Ashton-Langford. Franklin makes all three free throws and the Cavaliers have their largest lead of the game at six points. Clark chases down a long offensive rebound and kicks to Jayden Gardner, who hits his patented fadeaway baseline jumper. Virginia is on another 7-0 run and leads 33-25 with 3:14 to go until halftime.

Beekman drives baseline and throws a low pass to the corner to Armaan Franklin, who goes down to catch the pass and then elevates and drains the three-pointer, capping a 7-0 run for Virginia. Quinten Post checks into the game, which elicits a groan from the UVA fans at JPJ. Kadin Shedrick gets his first crack at guarding Post and does a standup job, holding the line and forcing a Boston College shot-clock violation. The Eagles pay the Cavaliers back on the other end and force a shot-clock violation of their own, as UVA passed up on a couple of decent looks and then couldn't generate another one. Reece Beekman throws a beautiful half-court lob to Ryan Dunn, who flies in from the baseline and throws down with his second slam dunk of the first half. Boston College gets a multiple offensive rebounds to extend a possession that lasts nearly a minute and ends with DeMarr Langford hitting a contested fadeaway jumper. UVA turns the ball over and it looked like Bickerstaff had a free bucket in transition but Ryan Dunn once again flexes his insane athleticism, chasing Bickerstaff down and rejecting his shot out of bounds.

Out of the timeout, Boston College runs an inbounds play for Mason Madsen, who hits a catch-and-shoot three-pointer from the right wing. Isaac McKneely answers with a driving layup on the other end. Kadin Shedrick checks into the game and makes a big play, rejecting T.J. Bickerstaff at the rim at the end of the shot clock. McKneely's three is off the mark but Ryan Dunn is in the game and times his jump perfectly to send in a thunderous putback jam. Dunn has started to show a prowess for putback dunks and the UVA fans at JPJ are certainly here for it.

After both teams come up empty on their first two possessions, Makai Ashton-Langford knifes his way inside for a layup off the glass for the game's first bucket. Armaan Franklin uses a sweet hesitation move to get by his defender on the baseline for a layup to get the Cavaliers on the board. Ben Vander Plas is tasked with guarding the seven-footer Quinten Post and he is winning the matchup so far, as Post has already turned the ball over three times, including two traveling violations. Vander Plas throws a cross-court pass to Kihei Clark, who drains the open corner three. Post draws a foul on Franklin down low and makes both free throws. Reece Beekman pump fakes, steps inside the three-point arc and hits the long two-point jumper. Post draws another foul, this time on Vander Plas, and makes both free throws. Vander Plas is replaced by Francisco Caffaro. Clark blows by his defender and slams on the brakes, drawing a foul on Ashton-Langford, his second personal. Clark makes both free throws. Quinten Post goes to work on Caffaro in the paint and is able to score with a short hook shot. Jayden Gardner gets on the board with a short jumper in the lane and Virginia has made its last four shots. Post scores again as he gets past Caffaro for a layup. Post is officially on fire - he knocks down a triple from the top of the key and has 11 of Boston College's 13 points just five minutes into the game. Reece Beekman answers with a mid-range jumper, but Quinten Post has yet another bucket in him, sinking a second-straight three-pointer and he is now up to 14 points. Gardner jumps a passing lane and takes it the other way for a transition layup. Prince Aligbe shakes Gardner with a crossover move and hits an open mid-range jumper. Gardner chases down a long rebound off of a missed Beekman three and hits the open free-throw-line jumper. Beekman is called for a foul and more than eight minutes into the game, we have reached the first media timeout.
