Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul has never been shy on sharing his thoughts social issues and injustice.

Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul is known for many things.

His resume on the court speaks for itself, as the future Hall of Fame passer has accrued various accolades such as All-Star and All-NBA team appearances will see him go down as one of the best floor generals of that generation.

Paul also hasn't been shy about speaking out on social issues that have impacted our country, and that was again the case late Friday night after body cam footage of Tyre Nichols' brutal beating from Memphis police officers was unveiled to the public.

"Change is needed at all levels and we all need to do our part. We can’t lose our humanity as a society. To the Nichols’ family and Memphis community, my heart is with you tonight," said Paul in a tweet.

Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins also had some powerful words to share.

The league also put out a statement with the following message:

"The images of Tyre Nichols' life needlessly cut short are horrifying. While there have been steps toward accountability in this instance, the NBA family remains committed to partnering with advocates, policymakers and law enforcement to work toward solutions to the issues we continue to face."
