COLD AND GADSDEN. WE ARE SEEING TEMPERATURES IN THE TWENTIES. WE HAVE TEMPERATURES STILL IN THE TWENTIES UP FROM OUR TUSCALOOSA TO OUR APARTMENTS. CAMERA OVERLOOKING THE BLACK WARRIOR RIVER AND WE’VE GOT OUR TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY CAMERA BACK. NOW I’M COMPLETE. STEPHANIE PULLED SOME STRINGS FOR ME THIS WEEK AT THE TALLADEGA AND ARE BACK UP AND RUNNING SO I CAN KEEP MY EYES PEELED ON MY BUDDY OUT THERE OUT IN THE TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY CAM OUT TO AMAZING DAY FOR A HIKE. LEAVING THE SINGLE DIGITS IN THE NEGATIVE NUMBERS IN THE NORTHERN TIER OF THE COUNTRY FOR RIGHT NOW. AND THE COLDEST AIR IN THE ROCKIES REMAINS WORST. OF COURSE, WAKING UP TO TEMPERATURES IN THE TWENTIES. BUT THIS IS WINTER AND WE ARE SEEING A COUPLE OF SPOTS THAT ARE BELOW AVERAGE. BUT TYPICALLY WE WOULD SEE THESE TYPES OF FREEZING MORNINGS, AT LEAST FROSTY. AND SO IT’S STILL FREEZING RIGHT NOW TO START. BUT THE FORECAST, HIGH TEMPERATURES, 59, WE’LL HAVE SOME SUNSHINE, CLOUDS MIXING IN, TOO. AND IT WILL GET CLOUDY LATE. 54 WILL BE YOUR FORECAST. HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR SUNDAY. LIKELY THAT RAIN IS GOING TO START REALLY EARLY. THE RAIN RIGHT NOW, THERE WILL BE A SERIES OF WEATHER FEATURES THAT KIND OF RIDE ON YOU, FOR LACK OF A BETTER WORD. IT’S MORE OF LIKE A RAILROAD TRACK THAT EXTENDS FROM PORTIONS OF OF TEXAS ALL THE WAY THROUGH MID-MISSISSIPPI AND INTO THE TENNESSEE VALLEY. AND THERE WILL BE A SERIES OF WEATHER FEATURES THAT JUST CONTINUE TO TRAIN OVER THE SAME AREA. SO THERE COULD BE SOME FLOODING ISSUES ACROSS THE NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI DELTA AND INTO THE WESTERN TENNESSEE VALLEY. BUT FOR US, IT’S VERY DRY, CLEAN SLATE ON THE WVTM 13 LIVE DOPPLER RADAR. RAIN CHANCES LOOK HIGH, THOUGH. SUNDAY, WE’RE GOING TO HAVE RAIN FROM START TO FINISH. IT WILL BE HEAVIER. SUNDAY NIGHT. BUT SUNDAY MORNING, STARTING WITH SPRINKLES TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY AGAIN, YOU’RE GOING TO SEE THOSE RAIN CHANCES. THIS IS A LONG RANGE FORECAST MODEL WE USUALLY USE TO TRACK TROPICAL WEATHER FEATURES A WEEK OUT, BUT IT SERVES A PRETTY GOOD PURPOSE WHEN YOU’RE TRYING TO TALK ABOUT A SERIES OF LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS. WALKING ON THE TRAIN TRACK. BUT CHECK THIS OUT. THIS IS 11 A.M. ON SUNDAY. WE STILL SEE SOME INTERMITTENT HEAVIER RAIN SHOWERS EXITING BY 4 A.M. MONDAY MORNING. BUT MONDAY IN GENERAL LOOKS OKAY. IT’LL STAY CLOUDY. TUESDAY, THERE’S THAT GREEN BACK ON THE MAP, ESPECIALLY NORTHERN ALABAMA. SOME OF THAT CHANGE OVER HAPPENING IN THE TENNESSEE VALLEY THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. AND WE CONTINUE TO HAVE THAT FOCAL POINT THERE. NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI, WESTERN TENNESSEE VALLEY. THAT’S WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND INTO EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. IN FACT, I’VE CHANGED OVER THURSDAY TO BE AN IMPACT DAY BECAUSE WE DO SEE SEVERAL CHANGES FOLLOWING THURSDAY AND SOME HEAVIER INTERMITTENT DOWNPOURS. YOU CAN SEE THERE ON OUR FORECAST MODELS BY 7 P.M. ON THURSDAY NIGHT. AND SO AFTER THAT, HEAVIER RAINFALL COMES DRIER AND COOLER AIR WITH HIGHS IN THE FORTIES
