Lehigh to Partake in Final Meet Before Patriot League Championships

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's swimming and diving team will face some familiar teams when the Mountain Hawks compete in the Bison Invite on Saturday in Lewisburg at Kinney Natatorium at 12 p.m.

This is the second straight week Lehigh is in Lewisburg for a meet. The Mountain Hawks faced Bucknell last week and were defeated 194-73 in the final dual meet of the season. Saturday's meet will not count towards the overall dual meet record for Lehigh.

Shippensburg, Navy, Bucknell and Lafayette will be the other teams partaking in the Bucknell Invite this weekend. Shippensburg and Navy are the only two colleges Lehigh has yet to go up against this season. The Mountain Hawks defeated the Leopards 152-136 on Nov. 18.

Lehigh swept the 200-yard IM against Bucknell on Jan. 21. Junior Miles Cox won with a time of 1:58.08, James Zhang took second, and Ben Kisker picked up three points with a third-place finish.

Sophomore Elvin Lee had a strong showing last week. He won the 100-yard butterfly in 50.30 and led the way in the 200-yard medley relay team that took second. Aiden McCurley, Aaron Williams and Jack DeVilbiss were also on the second-place 200-yard medley relay team. Williams has had a very strong first collegiate season so far.

Junior Alex Patti scored three points for Lehigh last meet, coming in third in the 100-yard butterfly (51.33).

Lehigh will also go back to Lewisburg for the Patriot League Championships, which takes place from Feb. 15-Feb. 18.
