A woman was reportedly shot at in broad daylight driving near the University of South Alabama.
Police say it was a matter of road rage.
The woman who was shot at says she is now living in fear.
Wednesday, she was leaving Walmart with a friend in the car heading toward South Alabama when they passed another vehicle driving very slowly.
"So I went around him and I didn't flash my lights at him or beep my horn at him or anything and he started following me from there," the woman said.
The woman, who wants to stay anonymous, out of fear, says the man in a black jeep wrangler followed her for miles.
At one point she pulled into an apartment parking lot to get away from him.
"I went out of the neighborhood, and he followed me out of the neighborhood, and I try to hide in the Four Seasons Apartment complex, and he waited for me, started shooting into my car," she said.
"He shot one through my fender right here. We just didn't know what to do at that point. We were just really shocked that he would shoot at us," she continued.
The woman called police while trying to get away, trying to remember every detail of what was happening.
"Because your life is in danger, and you want to make sure that you got the stuff that you need to tell the officers, so they can help you," she said.
Again, police are looking for a black jeep wrangler.
