The Last of Us' premiere episode has been made available to watch for free for fans in the UK and US.

The hit HBO series made its debut last week to huge acclaim, and has quickly become one of the most talked-about shows around.

UK broadcaster Sky have now made the first episode available to watch for free on its YouTube channel (click here to watch) alongside HBO in the US – so if you're yet to catch up on the show or want to relive the episode, now is your chance.

Following its premiere last week, The Last of Us has been a huge ratings hit for HBO, scoring the US network's second biggest-premiere of the decade with 4.7 million viewers watching.

It has also become one of the network's fastest-growing shows ever, with ratings increasing to 5.7 million for its second episode.

While a second season is yet to be confirmed (and it would be a huge shock if it wasn't renewed), star Bella Ramsey recently weighed in on a potential second outing.

"If people keep watching, I think [season 2] is pretty likely," she told BBC Sounds. "It's down to the guys at HBO. There's nothing confirmed yet, so we'll have to wait and see."

Reflecting further on the show quickly becoming a phenomenon, Ramsey said: "It's weirder seeing billboards [in Leicestershire] than it was in LA.

"I took my driving test the other day – which I failed – and during that I kept driving past the billboards, which was quite strange."

The Last of Us airs on HBO in the US, and on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW in the UK.
