On Saturday, the City of Schenectady will allow residents to crown its best soup, as the Schenectady Soup Stroll returns for its 7th year.
Thirty-four restaurants were putting their finishing touches on their best soups on Friday, with residents filling out their ballots by the end of the event on Saturday. They'll offer 3oz servings for $1 at all of the participating locations throughout the city, which you can find by clicking here.
"It's great for the business community because not only do they get more awareness in the community with people seeing their business and seeing what they can do, but it’s also an important revenue generator in a time that can be a little bit slower in the restaurant business," Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corp. Executive Director Jim Salengo says.
The event on Saturday, January 28th runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout Downtown Schenectady.
