Expect traffic on the I-90/SR 18 interchange starting Monday

Snoqualmie — Plan extra time for your commute through the Interstate 90 and State Route 18 interchange in Snoqualmie next Monday to Friday, WSDOT said.

SR 18:

  • The westbound climbing lane will be closed two miles south of the interchange from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day from Jan. 30 to Feb 4.
  • On Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, there will be short-term shoulder closures near the interchange from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The projects include building drainage systems, installing underground wiring for new traffic lights, and tearing down the old weigh station off the westbound I-90 on-ramp. They are expected to be completed by 2025 and will improve traffic flow and safety, and reduce commute time, WSDOT said.

I-90:

  • Jan. 30 to Feb. 1 there will be short-duration lane closures in both directions just west of the interchange.

WSDOT is prepping for some major changes in the Spring.
