Have you seen Marie? 13-year-old girl disappears after leaving school in Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Investigators are hoping a tip from the public will help them find a missing child, and bring her safely home.

A missing persons report has been filed for 13-year-old Marie Washington, who was last seen by her father when he drove her school, in the 2500 block of Sheridan in Detroit, Tuesday morning.

According to Detroit Police, the teen was dropped off at around 7:40 a.m., but when her dad came to pick her up after her classes, she had already left.

Washington is described as a Black female, 5'4'' inches tall and weighing 137 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a tan puffy jacket, a purple shirt, blue jeans and boots.
