By LYNETTE VLASAK | Kendall Public Library director

The Kendall Public Library’s movie night will be on Friday, Feb. 3, at St. John’s Church fellowship hall. We will show “Miracle,” starring Kurt Russell as the renowned hockey coach Herb Brooks. This is the true story behind what some people regard as the greatest moment in sports history. More than a hockey story, it is the story of building a team that believes in each other.

The movie will start at 6:30 p.m., and there will be free pop and popcorn. Everyone is welcome.

Library patrons are now able to access Kanopy, a video streaming service, for no charge. All you need is your library card number (you do need to register, but it is very easy). Stream films anytime, anywhere, on your preferred devices. To get started, go to wrlsweb.org and click on the link “Get Started with Kanopy.”

Our next book club meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 1 and 5 p.m.—come to whichever one best fits your schedule. “Whiskey Beach” by Nora Roberts is the book we will discuss.

Just a reminder: Now that we are into winter weather, in the event of inclement weather, please call the library at (608) 463-7103 to confirm an activity is still happening. If there is no answer, the library is closed and the event would have been canceled. Or you can also try Lynette at home at (608) 463-7639.
