Love Island star Tommy Fury is looking for a knockout victory when he steps into the ring with Jake Paul next month.

These two have been on a collision course for several years now, with a couple of previously scheduled events abandoned due to injuries and travel restrictions.

On Sunday, February 26, though, this celebrity dust-up is finally going ahead in Saudi Arabia's capital city of Riyadh.

"Jake Paul's boxing career ends on February 26th and I can finally move on with mine," said Fury in a statement.

"Every time I go out right now, everybody asks me about the Jake Paul fight. After this fight is done, everybody will be asking me how it felt to knock Jake Paul out. The world is about to see what happens when a proper boxer faces a YouTuber.

"The way I see this fight, it's as though I'm cruising down route 66 on my way to fighting for titles and belts and I need to stop off for a bit of fuel, get the job done and then we're back on the road.

"It won't be a long fight," he went on to promise. "I have been training hard and have the best team around me, Jake Paul makes a lot of noise outside the ring but the only sound we are going to hear in the ring is him hitting the canvas."

Meanwhile, Fury's manager and CEO of Alpha Talent Group, Jake Lee, added: "This has been two years in the making and I'm so glad that we've finally got here. Tommy has been working incredibly hard in training and I'm excited to see all that hard work pay off."

Chances are he might be a little bit distracted on the night, considering he'll have just become a first-time dad.

Upto this moment, Fury's professional boxing record is unblemished - recording eight wins and zero losses between 2018 and 2022 - while Paul has claimed the scalps of combat sport icons Anderson Silva and Tyrone Woodley inside the ring.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
