A worker at an Upstate construction site has been rescued after being injured in an accident. The incident happened Friday morning at a new school site in Spartanburg County. Personnel from the Tyger River Fire Department responded there after the man fell into a man hole.

Crews were able to pull the man from the hole. He was transported to an area hospital to be treated for injuries to his leg. Officials say, the rescue effort went smoothly despite muddy conditions making the terrain treacherous.
