FLINT, MI – Flint’s Board of Education will meet in a finance and operations subcommittee meeting next week after this week’s meeting was postponed.

The original meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 25, but it was postponed after most Genesee County schools closed for the day due to road conditions.

Board members are scheduled to discuss multiple business items that have gathered attention from the community.

Those item include filing a grant request to the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the demolition of Washington Elementary School, which burned down in 2021, and the securing of the district’s vacant buildings.
