FAITH MISSION INTRODUCES SPRING 2023 INTERNS

graduate in May from Prairie View A&M University.
Faith Mission gives a warm welcome to its newest spring interns.
Gary Darby and Thalia Bond are spending part of their spring semester with Faith Mission through their courses at Prairie View A&M University. Since 2009, Faith Mission has provided field practicum and real world training to students and prospective social workers from colleges and universities around the state.
Darby, who is majoring in kinesiology, says he was drawn to Faith Mission because of its emphasis on community involvement.
As part of the internship, students gain experience in case management, administrative planning, academic enrichment, direct service with clients and youth programs.
Bond, a health major, says the variety of tasks they work to accomplish and their fast pace keeps things exciting and rewarding.
Darby and Bond both plan to graduate in May and intend to open clinics, with Darby’s clinic being for occupational therapy and Bond’s for pediatric oncology.
