WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON THIS SITUATION. NEW THIS MORNING, IT’S A BUSY START TO THE DAY FOR NEW ORLEANS POLICE WHO ARE NOW INVESTIGATING TWO OVERNIGHT SHOOTINGS. ONE WAS A DOUBLE SHOOTING IN THE LITTLE WOODS AREA. WE’RE TOLD TWO MEN WERE SHOT NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF SHAMROCK DRIVE AND WALE STREET AROUND NINE LAST NIGHT. ONCE THERE, OFFICERS DISCOVERED TWO MEN SUFFERING FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS. THIS IS VIDEO FROM THE AREA AS POLICE ARRIVED ON SCENE TO INVESTIGATE. WE’RE TOLD BOTH VICTIMS IN THIS CASE WERE TAKEN TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL AND LESS THAN AN HOUR AGO, WE HEARD ABOUT A SHOOTING IN THE FRENCH QUARTER. New Orleans police investigate three shootings
The New Orleans Police Department is investigating three different shootings. The first shooting was reported around 9:14 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Shamrock Drive and Wales Street. Two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds and were taken to an area hospital for treatment. One man was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to the leg. The man was taken to an area hospital by EMS for treatment. The third shooting was reported at 1:58 a.m. Friday in on the interstate near Bullard Avenue. According to police, a person with a gunshot wound arrived in a private vehicle to an area hospital for treatment.
