Four varsity high school basketball games are scheduled in the Tulip City limits tonight as Pella welcomes Newton and Pella Christian hosts homecoming celebrations with Grinnell.

A few ranked teams will be featured across the four Little Hawkeye Conference contests, with the #9 in 4A Pella girls seeking momentum before a difficult week ahead against the Cardinals, while #8 in 3A Newton will try to continue earning quality wins to bolster their postseason resume in the nightcap with the Dutch in the boys matchup. Fresh off of their first conference win, the Pella Christian girls will try to solve #8 in Class 3A Grinnell, while the Eagles boys — who are seemingly on the cusp of the 2A rankings, will try to keep adding victories to their record in hopes of landing better playoff real estate in February.
