Austin “No Doubt” Trout is currently in the middle of his training camp for his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut.

He will face former UFC star Diego Sanchez on February 17th in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The bout will serve as the chief supporting bout underneath the Lorenzo Hunt-Mike Richman main event.

Trout, who also plans to continue his boxing career, is very pleased with his first training camp that is based on fighting under BKFC rules.

“Camp has been great.  It is definitely different. I have been working on my hands and my clinches in this camp,” Trout told BoxingScene.com.

“It’s definitely amplified without gloves. More than that I’m much more snappier with my shots.”

Sanchez was one of the most exciting fighters during his time in the UFC.  He won several Fight of the Night awards during his time fighting under the Ultimate Fighting Champion banner.

Trout expects another Fight of the Night performance when they step in the ring but with himself providing most of the fireworks.

“I think it’s going to be a slugfest. A one-sided slugfest of course,” Trout said with a laugh.

The 37-year-old last fought in December when he defeated when he defeated Jose Sanchez Charles via unanimous decision in a traditional boxing match. He has won five bouts in row since fighting Terrell Gausha to a draw in 2019.
