You will want to give yourself plenty of time to make your way to work or school this morning.

Overnight snow and a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain have covered the roads and will make them very slick this morning.

I have a 4WD drive Jeep Wrangler and even I was slipping and sliding when I was making turns this morning.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo said that the slick road conditions will be in place for the Friday morning commute.

We are only expecting a couple of more inches of snow across the area but with the wind and wintry mix the roads will remain very slick. Plows have been out and about clearing the snow and dropping down salt but again give yourself plenty of time and space when on the roads. A winter weather advisory also remains in place for parts of the state as well. All the advisories should be lifted by 11 am.

Looking ahead to the weekend, It looks like most places will be snow-free on Saturday before another round of snow and wintry mix returns on Sunday.

A massive cold front is set to move into the area by the middle of next week which will be below-average temperatures for a couple of days.
