Improvements for the Knoxville baseball field will include a new press box, new fencing and seating in the near future.

Offering to help raise funds for the Knoxville baseball bleachers along with head coach Turner DeVore are Adam Norris and Rachel Cecil among others. According to Craig Mobley, Knoxville Business Manager, the bleachers will be somewhat similar to what the softball program has.

Mobley added that a year ago the school spent $2.5 million to upgrade the Randy Wilson Track facility.

Mobley KNIA/KRLS News, “Really we’re looking at this as an overall athletic complex. So we want the baseball field to show those improvements. We want the softball field to show those improvements.”

When the school is done with all the projects Mobley says Knoxville will have a top rated athletic facility. He says that over the next five years the school has committed some funds to help with the project somewhere in the neighborhood of $250,000 to $300,000 between baseball and softball.
