This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. The Cattle market continues to build demand, even with solid feed prices and a rocky start the year. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day Up 6 ¾, to finish at 7-41 ¼. March Corn was Dn 2 ¼, to finish the day at 6-74 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March were Up 9 ½, to settle at 8-43 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Dn 10-05, ranging from 8-25 to 8-85. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for March were Unch - Dn 03, ranging 8-23 to 8-45. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for March were Dn 09 ½, ranging from 9-63 ¼ to 9-73 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March were Up 6 ½, to settle at 9-89 ½.

Live Cattle for April were Up $.25, closing at 161.55. March Feeder Cattle were Up $.15 to finish the day at 183.75. March Class III milk was Dn $.26, to settle at 17.95.
