Bridge to Home – Celebrating 25 Years of Help, Hope and Change

by | Jan 26, 2023 | Community

Bridge to Home is a non-profit agency that assists individuals and families in the Santa Clarita Valley who are experiencing homelessness or who are at imminent risk of homelessness with shelter, meals, and supportive services. While every single person or family’s story and experience is different, the one thing they all share in common is a need for an able support system. This is where Bridge to Home and our community of supporters come in.
Everyday Bridge to Home provides shelter to 60 individuals and serves many more, including families, through case management and supportive services with the ultimate goal of eliminating homelessness in our valley. Last year, more than 700 households from Santa Clarita were provided supportive services and more than 65,000 meals were served.
Because of organizations like Bridge to Home, the individuals and families assisted have somewhere to turn to for support. And because of generous volunteers and donors in the SCV community, Bridge to Home can provide this very important work.
On Sunday, February 26, 2023, Bridge to Home will be hosting its annual Soup for the Soul event at the Canyon County Community Center. The event will begin at 4 PM with an entertainment-filled cocktail hour and appetizers followed by dinner, a live and silent auction, as well as a delicious dessert auction.
Not only is this exciting event Bridge to Home’s first LIVE event after three years, but the organization is also celebrating 25 years of providing Help, Hope, and Change to the Santa Clarita Valley! Please join us at this year’s special event and hear about the many memorable client success stories commemorating and the latest news of the new shelter site expected to open its doors in December 2023. The new facility will continue to provide shelter to 60 single individuals but will now also have 8 family apartment-like units offering temporary shelter support for 32 additional people, including children.
